Dal soup infused with rosemary herb

Easy dal soup with simple ingredients. Can be taken as breakfast/dinner or for weight loss.

Ingredients

  • Masoor dal - 2 tbsp
  • Moong dal - 2 tbsp
  • Toor dal - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves
  • Carrot - 1 
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Tomato - 1/2 of medium size
  • Rose mary herb - 2 strings
  • Pepper - 1 tsp or as needed according to spiceness
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Wash and soak 3 types of dal for 10 minutes. 
  2. Add soaked dal, chopped ginger, chopped garlic, chopped carrot, chopped tomato, turmeric powder, rosemary strings and required water to boil in pressure cooker.
  3. Let it whistle 5 to 6 times or untill the dal is cooked.
  4. Cook until mushy.
  5. Take out the rosemary strings out of the mixture.
  6. Take out the cooked mixture from pressure cooker and let it cool.
  7. Grind in a mixie to a smooth paste.
  8. Heat this in a pan by adding water to the required consistency.
  9. Add salt and peper to taste.
  10. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve.
