Veg hakka noodles

Indo-Chinese hakka noodles with salad vegetables. 

This is a kids friendly recipe and can be accompanied with tomato ketchup or veg/gobi manchurian.

          Serves: 2 

Ingredients

  • Hakka noodles - 2 cakes
  • 2 tsp oil (any oil)
  • 2 to 3 garlic pods chopped
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper sliced 
  • 2 spring onions chopped
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground white/black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Required water to boil the noodles

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a pan. Add the required noodles to the boiling water.
  2. Let it cook for 3 to 4 mins. The noodles should be only 80% cooked and not completely.
  3. Add oil to a pan. Once heated, add chopped garlic and chopped lower part of spring onions.    Saute for a min. 
  4. Add sliced onions and green bell pepper. Saute for 2 mins. 
  5. Add Soy sauce and vinegar. Quickly stir for a minute.
  6. Add cooked noodles, spring onions and black/white pepper. 
  7. Stir quickly and serve.

Notes:
1. We can add any salad vegetables of our choice like cabbage, any colored bell pepper, carrots.
2. As this is an Indo-Chinese recipe, we need to be really quick while stirring. Do not over cook the            vegetables. 
3. We can also add tomato ketchup as per our choice.
